Hitmaking duo Locash returns with their new single “Hometown Home,” a tribute to the pure magic of putting down roots in the very place that raised you. The start of a dynamic new era for Locash, the song marks the duo’s highly awaited first release on their newly formed Galaxy Label Group.
Written by the duo’s Preston Brust and Chris Lucas with Zach Abend and Andy Albert, “Hometown Home” puts an irresistible spin on the classic love song, adding a bit of sweet nostalgia to their heartfelt dreaming of the future. In the spirit of past singles like the platinum-certified smash “I Love This Life” and gold No. 1 hits “One Big Country Song” and “I Know Somebody,” Brust and Lucas bring carefree but soulful energy to every line as they sing the praises of settling down in a town full of cherished memories (from the second verse: “Girl, we just won’t find our names spray-painted/Under any other Main Street bridge/If we hit that road in a Winnebago/Imagine all the things we’d miss”).
“It’s about planting roots, hand-holding, kitchen dancing: an anthem for building a life together,” Locash explains. “It’s about creating a home inside a town you’ve always known. It’s a reminder for all of us of how important our roots are. We think about how lucky we are with our wives and families — knowing we would go wherever they want to go, but a little reminder that we could stay right where we started. ‘Hometown Home’ is for all of us.”
