The new single features Absolutely

Chicago-bred production duo Louis The Child releases their new single “Stay With Me” with UK singer-songwriter Absolutely. The melodic track is driven by Absolutely’s powerhouse pop vocals as they float seamlessly over Louis The Child’s shimmering beats. The pair premiered the song during their recent Lollapalooza set where Absolutely joined them on stage and performed the vocals live. “Stay With Me” with Absolutely follows a slew of new Louis The Child releases including the fan-titled “How High,” “Walls” featuring Claire Rosinkranz, and “Daybreak” featuring Zachary Knowles, all of which mark a new chapter for the duo, as they gear up for their sophomore album. “Stay With Me” with Absolutely is available now via Interscope Records.

“We love this song, it’s so pretty and floaty,” the duo shares. “Sometimes you hear a song and just know you want to sample it. That feeling came when we heard ‘Better Things’ by Brockhampton last year. That song has this floaty feel to it, like you’re up in the clouds. We messed around with it a few different times, but it wasn’t until we were literally up in the clouds on a plane that we made the beat for this song. A few months later we had a session with M-Phazes and he asked if he could invite his friend Absolutely to come write with us. We played her the beat and a few hours later we had the finished song.”

The guys will also play two shows this September 23rd and September 24th at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. While the first show is already sold out, tickets for the September 24th show are on sale now.

Louis The Child floats through electronic, pop, and alternative with wide-eyed wonder, adventurous spirit, and the elation of being present. Since 2013, the Chicago-bred duo—Freddy Kennett and Robby Hauldren—have popped off as a phenomenon garnering over 1.8 billion streams worldwide and have been endorsed by pop royalty such as Taylor Swift and Lorde.

Following the duo’s 2020 debut album Here For Now and their 2020 mixtape Candy 2, Louis The Child marked 2021 the Euphoria era during which they released their Euphoria EP. The project includes their previous singles, “So What” featuring A R I Z O N A, which has now amassed 35 million global streams, and “Keep On Moving” featuring Nez and Theophilus London, which was one of their first collaborations in the hip-hop sphere.

In 2022, Louis The Child unveiled their project, Black Marble, a 17-track instrumental tape that explores the duo’s clubbier sensibilities—a stark contrast from what fans are used to in both aesthetic and sound. The project functions as a seamless DJ set, and is accompanied by film noir-inspired visuals, packed with dance choreography, and was captured in cities all over the world. In addition, the guys’ hit single “Better Not” with Wafia is officially certified Platinum by the RIAA, and the pair have a residency at the new Resorts World in Las Vegas. 2023 will bring tons of new music and live shows from Louis The Child, as they continue to prove themselves as one of the most exciting acts in dance music.
