Vinyls, new remixes & merch available
Legacy Recordings is celebrating 25 years of Mariah Carey’s iconic 1997 album Butterfly with a digital 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition, available now. This expanded edition, with eight bonus tracks, includes new remixes, never before released a capella and live tracks, as well as Carey’s reinterpretation of the song “The Roof” featuring Brandy. Additionally, there will be exclusive anniversary edition vinyl from Vinyl Me, Please including a 2 LP standard edition pressed on Champagne Wave vinyl, and a 4 LP deluxe edition pressed on 180-gram Gold Nugget vinyl, which features a lyric and photo booklet and rare remixes.
Carey will also release 4K remastered versions of “Honey” and “The Roof” music videos; new “Honey” music video documentary coming the week of September 19th; some classic live performances from David Letterman, BBC, and others coming to YouTube; new merch; and more.
The Butterfly album will be released on cassette via Carey’s online store with Urban Outfitters releasing a “Honey Remixes” on 2 LP vinyl in February 2023.
The original album will also be available in Dolby ATMOS.
