Flower Shop Perfumes Co. has announced the pre-sale of the long-awaited relaunch of Cry Baby Perfume Milk by Melanie Martinez in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the double-platinum album, Cry Baby.
First released in 2016, the fragrance has been sold out for five years, achieving cult status and remaining virtually unattainable since. Now, after years of demand, with bottles reselling for over $1,000 and fan pleas flooding the internet via comments, DMs, and petitions, Martinez and Flower Shop are answering the call. The signature milky scent and collectible baby bottle are officially making their return.
“To celebrate Cry Baby’s 10-year anniversary, my favorite milky, strawberry, complex gourmand fragrance is finally back!” Martinez shares. “I’ve prayed for this moment and I know a lot of people have been waiting for it as well. Truly a dream to have received so much love on my first fragrance ever. Reviving it this time in a bigger bottle for all of you perfume lovers is such a special feeling.”
The relaunch, in partnership with Flower Shop Perfumes Co., comes after both parties collaborated on the bespoke fragrance and thematic packaging design for Portals Parfums by Melanie Martinez. The collection was inspired by Melanie’s third studio album, Portals, and are now extending their work together to bring back the coveted Cry Baby Perfume Milk.
The new iteration of Cry Baby Perfume Milk (100 ml) will officially return on August 4th for $175 with its iconic top notes of strawberry, milk, forest fruits, powdery middle notes, and caramel and woody base notes, created by Melanie with perfumer Catherine Selig. The iconic fragrance bottle will remain identical to the original, with the addition of a magnetic cap for a more satisfying user experience, versus its previous screw-on enclosure. Plus, it will be housed in a much larger bottle at 100 ml versus the original 75 ml.
