New song features Justin Jesso
Grammy Award-winning and Emmy nominated singer-songwriter Michael Bolton releases his new track “Beautiful World” featuring Justin Jesso. Originally released as a solo track during Bolton’s stint on NBC’s American Song Contest last year, Bolton’s collaborator Justin Jesso (Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin) breathes new life into this version of the track to be featured on Bolton’s album Spark Of Light, out July 14th.
‘”Beautiful World’ is definitely one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” states Bolton. “It’s been amazing performing it live. You don’t always know what your audience, who came to hear your greatest hits of thirty years, is going to think when you walk out on the stage to perform a new song, but ‘Beautiful World’ is one of those songs that just immediately resonates with people.”
“Justin Jesso and I have a funny backstory,” Bolton shares. “My manager reached out to Justin to set up a writing session for us. When we got together, he reminded me that we had met more than twenty years ago at a restaurant where he was having dinner with his parents, and they all came over to say hello. This was long before his breakthrough hit with Kygo, and he said I was very encouraging to him as an artist. It made me really happy to hear that I had left such a positive effect. It reminded me when I was coming up, and little cups of water were extended to me by certain people along my walk across the desert.”
Bolton will be hosting a special event with TalkShopLive on June 21st, where fans can pre-order signed copies of Spark Of Light, as well as pre-order his new book with longtime friend and famed photographer Timothy White.
