Song featured in documentary film Stuntwomen: The Untold Hollywood Story

GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Mickey Guyton has released the music video for her special track “Without A Net.” The track was written by Grammy award-winning songwriter Diane Warren and is featured in the new documentary film Stuntwomen: The Untold Hollywood Story. The film is narrated by Michelle Rodriquez and chronicles the lives of women who perform the stunts in some of Hollywood’s biggest action sequences. The music video was directed by Gabriel Gely and features select clips from the film that critics continue to praise with The Los Angeles Times saying, “The achievements of these badass professionals are worth a look – especially if you believe an Oscar category for stunt performers is long overdue.”

“So excited about ‘Without A Net,’” shares Warren. “I can’t think of a better singer for this song than Mickey Guyton, an artist who is all about going beyond all limits.”

Guyton recently made history as the first black female solo artist to earn a GRAMMY nomination in a country category (Best Country Solo Performance) for her critically acclaimed song “Black Like Me.” “Black Like Me” was just named one of the Top 5 songs of 2020 by The Associated Press and NPR noting, “the best pure singer in Nashville since Carrie Underwood…her song started many necessary conversations and will be remembered as a milestone in the genre’s evolution”

Guyton was just announced as a performer for the upcoming Rose Parade New Year Celebration presented by Honda. The special will air on ABC, Hallmark Channel, KTLA, NBC, RFD-TV and Univision at 8am PT on January 1, 2021. Additional performers and celebrity guests include Tori Kelly, Matt Leinart, Sheryl Crow, Emeril Lagasse and more.
