The country/rap collaboration is available digitally

Morgan Wallen has lent his vocals to Lil Durk’s new single “Broadway Girls.” The country and rap collaboration was released digitally on Friday (Dec 17th). The track is inspired by Nashville’s Lower Broadway.

The pair trade verses with Wallen name dropping Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar that he frequents.

“I met her down at Aldean’s / She said she that saw me walkin’ in about a mile away / Bean just had to take her phone and that just took her smile away / She said I’m too drunk and crazy, she don’t like the way I dance / I said, “You don’t have to join in,” she said she’d take a chance / I’ve been kinda crazy ever since it went down / I get kind of lost, and, baby, this what I found / Girls like you just wanna take me around, around and around.”

The pair share the chorus, singing, “Oh, there’s two things that you’re gonna find out / They don’t love you and they only love you right now / If I was smarter, I’da stayed my ass at home / And leave them Broadway girls alone (Leave ’em alone, leave ’em alone) / Them Broadway girls alone (Leave ’em alone, leave ’em alone) / Leave them Broadway girls alone.”

The song was co-written by the pair with Ernest K. Smith and five others. The track was produced by Charlie Handsome.

Wallen shared a snippet of the track in October on social media, sparking a flurry of fan comments in support of releasing it. Wallen recently appeared on Just Being ERNEST podcast where he discussed the song.

“Yeah, I might leak it. It might end up on somebody’s album, you never know. We’ll see,” Wallen shares.

The pair were also spotted in Nashville recently filming a video, but no word on when that will be released at this time.

Wallen recently regained his stance in country music since his high profile fallout following a video of him using a racial slur was published by TMZ in early February. He was immediately blacklisted by the industry, but his music surged 500% with the album spending its first ten consecutive weeks atop of the Billboard 200 chart, breaking a 34 year old record. His music has since resurfaced across radio airwaves with “Sand In My Boots,” climbing the country charts.
