The band performed as 1981 at the Bowery Ballroom

Mötley Crüe took to the stage for an intimate secret show last night (Mon, May 6th) at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Cryptic posts on the band’s socials last week announced that “1981” (alluding to the year the band formed, and released its first single and album) would be playing the 600-capacity venue, leading savvy Crüeheads to sell out tickets in under five minutes during last Thursday’s exclusive Crüeseum/S.I.N. Club pre-sale and last Friday’s general on-sale.

Performing several Crüe classics, like “Kickstart My Heart” and “Shout at the Devil” to only a few hundred fans, the band also played their new No. 1 single, “Dogs of War,” live to a raging crowd.

“Dogs of War,” released on April 26th alongside an easter egg-filled CGI video by video director Nick DenBoer, marks a new chapter for the iconic band with their recent signing to Big Machine Records.

Catch the Crüe on the road this year with select tour stops at major festivals, including Welcome to Rockville, SummerfestLouder Than Life, Aftershock, and more.
