Noah Hicks is leaving the porch light on and the door cracked open in hopes of falling back into old patterns with a former flame with his new track “Door’s Unlocked,” available now via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. Extending a “no questions asked” open invitation to come over anytime “the truck is in the driveway,” the affable Hicks masters the nonchalant outreach to an ex. Written by Hicks alongside Paul DiGiovanni, Jeremy Stover, and Cole Taylor, the small-town life that Hicks lives and sings is infused throughout the track—after all, where else would you be able to just leave your “doors unlocked” every night? The electric guitar anchors the track, perfectly pushing and pulling in tandem with the narrator as he goes back and forth between playing it cool and laying his heart on the line.
“People always say that when it’s over, it’s over. But sometimes you find yourself wondering what would happen if you left that door open,” shares Hicks. “We wrote ‘Door’s Unlocked’ about that in between where you’re looking to rekindle a bit of what got away – even if it’s just for one night – and hoping that the other person feels the same way.”
Since signing with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment in April, Noah has released a steady string of songs, including “Dirt Roads Dirt” featuring Justin Moore, “Second Time Around” featuring Shaylen, and “Nights Memories Stories.” New music from the talented singer/songwriter is slated for 2025.
