New rumors suggest a series of UK dates are coming in 2025
The anticipation surrounding an Oasis reunion is palpable among fans who have long cherished the band’s unique sound and ethos. For many, Oasis represents more than just music — it’s a nostalgia-fueled connection to moments that shaped personal identities. New reunion rumors have been fueled by Liam and Noel Gallagher teasing an announcement coming this week.
Liam performed the band’s debut album in its entirety at the end of his Reading Festival set on Sunday. He also flashed a date and time on the screen behind him.
The Gallagher brothers and the Oasis social media accounts confirm an announcement is coming on Tuesday, August 27th at 8 am BST.
Citing industry sources, The Times reports that the brothers have buried their ongoing rift and will perform 20 gigs in two cities next year. The report claims the group will perform multiple gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium, suggesting Wembley is booked for ten nights. Rumors are circulating that the duo will also perform a headlining slot at Glastonbury.
The news comes 15 years after they played their last gig at the V Festival in the UK in 2009. The brothers parted ways after they got into a physical altercation before a Paris concert, which saw Noel quit.
Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe celebrates its 30th anniversary this August. The fastest-ever selling debut in the UK on release, this seminal album marked the point when Oasis became a cultural phenomenon. Including the classic singles “Supersonic,” “Live Forever,” and “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” its songs sound as fresh and relevant as they did in 1994. Having sold over 6.9 million copies globally, it also sits as the second most streamed album of the ’90s, following their (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? at No. 1.
A limited edition deluxe 2 CD and 4 LP set will be available with the 2014 remastered album plus the previously unreleased and discarded original recording session from Monnow Valley along with outtakes from Sawmills Studios plus a demo of “Sad Song” featuring Liam’s vocal – all recently mixed for this release by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho.
