OneRepublic releases ‘Beautiful Colors’

The track is the second from the Japanese anime Kaiju No. 8

Grammy-nominated pop-rock band OneRepublic have released their new single, “Beautiful Colors (from Kaiju No. 8)“. It marks the multi-platinum selling band’s first release under their new recordings partnership with BMG and third new release for the Japanese anime, Kaiju No. 8. The new track will serve as the ending theme song for the second season of the hit show.

Previously, the group shared the singles, “Nobody (from Kaiju No. 8),” which serves as the end credit song for the hugely successful manga-turned-anime series Kaiju. No. 8, and “Invincible (from Kaiju No. 8),” their second song from the series.

OneRepublic recently signed a new global recordings partnership with BMG to release their upcoming seventh studio album. The deal marks their first release with a new label home since their breakthrough debut album in 2007.

“We’re excited to join the BMG family to keep releasing music that our fans will love. Jon and Dan have already been such incredible partners throughout this whole process and we’re looking forward to their continued support. We can’t wait for our fans to hear our new single ‘Beautiful Colors’ inspired by the Japanese anime series ‘Kaiju No. 8’, coming out later this month!” frontman Ryan Tedder says of the new deal.

Since their debut, OneRepublic has amassed over 18 billion streams on Spotify alone, solidifying their position as one of the most successful bands of the past two decades. The band rose to prominence in 2007 with their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, which included the global smash hit, “Apologize.” The single shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide, earning the band a Grammy nomination and helping to establish them as international superstars. The band went on to further release Waking Up in 2009, Native in 2013, Oh My My in 2016, and Human in 2021. They most recently released Artificial Paradise in 2024, featuring the quadruple platinum single “I Ain’t Worried” from Top Gun: Maverick, and “West Coast.”
