Latin superstar will perform during the closing ceremony

FIFA has officially confirmed that the multi-award-winning Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Ozuna will be performing at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held on Sunday, December 18th at the Lusail Stadium.

At the same time, Ozuna returns to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart with “Arhbo,” for the week of December 17th. The single, in collaboration with the Congolese-French rapper Gims and produced by RedOne, is part of the soundtrack for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The music video for “Arhbo” currently has more than 60 million views on the YouTube video platform.

The winner of two Latin Grammys, Ozuna, also ranks No. 2 on the Latin Airplay chart thanks to the success of “Monotonía,” a single that he performs with Colombian music star Shakira, and which ranked No. 1 on the chart for the past two weeks. “Monotonía” also set a record as the biggest Spanish-language musical debut of 2022 on YouTube, and has also held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart for the past three weeks.

“Arhbo,” a colloquial Qatari term that means “welcome,” derived from the Arabic “marhaba,”, is a song created with the aim of lifting the spirit and promote unity and solidarity. This perfectly embodies the purpose of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Official Soundtrack, which was created to unite artists, fans and players to share their passion, and combines the universal languages of music and football with a spectacular result.

With “Arhbo,” Ozuna has garnered five No. 1 songs on the Latin Airplay chart in 2022 and has accumulated a total of 31 singles to date that have reached the first spot on the aforementioned list, in addition to 28 No. 1 singles on the Latin Rhythms Airplay list.

2022 has been another great year for Ozuna, who continues to stand out as one of the most listened to and popular Latin artists worldwide. As evidence of his indisputable success, the artist recently received recognition from Sony Music Latin label for reaching more than 50 billion audio and video reproductions among his five solo musical productions — Odisea, Aura, Nibiru, ENOC, and OzuTochi.
