Osbourne is in Los Angeles

Ozzy Osbourne has tested positive for COVID-19. His wife Sharon shared the news on Thursday (Apr 28th) in an interview on her new show, Talk TV UK, which she is only three days into hosting.

“Ozzy was only diagnosed — it was, like, middle of the night [UK] time. I spoke to him and he’s okay,” she says emotionally in an interview. “I am very worried about Ozzy right now. We’ve gone two years without him catching COVID and it’s just Ozzy’s luck that he would get it now.”

She said she’s heading back to their home in Los Angeles where she will “hold him and kiss with with about three masks on, I think.”

At the time of the interview, she hadn’t spoken to the rest of her family about the diagnosis.

“Unfortunately, he was diagnosed in the middle of the night — they’re all sleeping — so I haven’t spoken to them yet, but they’ll rally around. They’ll be with him.”

She started hosting her new show on Monday (Apr 25th), but assures fans she’ll be back after a week.

“I can’t believe my luck that I’m missing the show. I’ve only been there three days. I can’t believe it — three days and I’m missing the show. But I will be back. I know I will. It’ll take me a week to get my old man on his feet again and I will be back in a week.”

The 73 year old Ozzy suffers from emphysema and Parkinson’s disease. He revealed in early 2021 that he’s fully vaccinated.

Ozzy has just finished up recording his latest album which is likely due sometime this year.
