New novel celebrates album’s 30th anniversary

Pantera has teamed with Z2 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band’s Vulgar Display of Power with a graphic novel on March 28th. In the grand tradition established by Z2, the Vulgar Display of Power 30th anniversary graphic novel unites famous fans of the band throughout comics and music to team up on adaptations of all 11 of the album’s tracks.

Creators include Life of Agony’s Alan Robert, Testament’s Eric Peterson, Every Time I Die’s Keith Buckley, Fear Factory’s Burton C. Bell, and others with illustrations by Paul Booth, Erik Rodriguez, Ryan Kelly, Steve Chanks, Kevin Mellon, John Pearson and Danijel Zezelj, each offering a unique interpretation inspired by the lyrics and music to create a whole new way to experience this landmark work of heavy art.

Cover artists include Brian Ewing, Paul Booth, Alan Robert, Erik Rodriguez and others.

The novel will be available in a paperback version along with standard hardcover. A limited number of Platinum editions signed by Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown will also be offered with a graphic novel slipcase; limited edition vinyl pressing of Vulgar Display of Power on blood splatter LP with sleeve artwork by inspired by the Brian Ewing graphic novel cover art; three-piece art print set by Erik Rodriguez, Danijel Zezelj and Alan Robert; Punch-Action Pantera Resin Statue; and Pantera sticker set.
