Trek will be the group’s first in two decades

The surviving members of Pantera — Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown — are plotting a 2023 tour, their first in over 20 years, according to Billboard. The duo has hired Artist Group International to book North American dates.

“We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans,” shares Peter Pappalardo, an agent who’s repping the tour alongside Dennis Arfa.

It’s unclear who would be replacing the late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott on guitar or Vincent “Vinnie Paul” on drums. Both co-founded the group in 1981. Dimebag Darrell was murdered while performing with his band Damageplan on stage in Ohio in 2004. Vinnie Paul died from natural causes from an enlarged heart and heart disease in 2018.

Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.

Pantera has sold more than 20 million albums and earned Platinum status for five albums and three long-form videos. The group released their most recent album, Reinventing the Steel, in 2000, followed by a hiatus in 2001.
