Gabriel is supporting forthcoming i/o album

Peter Gabriel announces an extra date on his 2023 i/o – The Tour, performing June 20th at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena. The tour marks his first solo shows outside of North America since 2014’s Back to Front Tour celebrating the era-defining album So. Produced by Live Nation, the tour in Europe will kick off in Krakow, Poland on May 18th with dates in Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and the UK and Ireland. The tour will then continue in North America in the late summer/fall with dates and ticket information to follow.

The trek will see Gabriel playing new material from his forthcoming album i/o, as well as delving into his peerless catalogue of music, with hits, fan favorites and the unexpected. For the shows, Gabriel will be joined by regular bandmates Tony Levin, David Rhodes and Manu Katché. Full details on the i/o album are still to follow.

“It’s been a while and I am now surrounded by a whole lot of new songs and am excited to be taking them out on the road for a spin. Look forward to seeing you out there,” Gabriel says of the tour.

Earlier this month, Gabriel released the Dark-Side Mix of “The Court,” the second song from his i/o. The track is accompanied by a cover image featuring the work of artist and sculptor Tim Shaw.

Just like the previous song “Panopticom,” “The Court” will come with differing mix approaches from Tchad Blake (Dark-Side Mix), Mark “Spike” Stent (Bright-Side Mix) and Hans-Martin Buff’s Atmos In-Side Mix. Each new release of music comes with a specific piece of art and the cover for “The Court” depicts the ritual installation Lifting the Curse by Tim Shaw.
