Album sits in top 10 around the world

Alternative rock band Pixies released their new album Doggerel on September 30th, their first studio album since 2019’s Beneath The Eyrie and second full-length release since signing with BMG.

Doggerel, the influential rock band’s eighth studio album, has resulted in the best chart performance and highest album sales since the group reformed in 2004. Doggerel sits at the No. 3 position on the Current Alternative Albums Chart and No. 6 on the Current Rock Albums. The album has also taken Internet Albums at No. 13, Current Album Sales at No. 15, and Vinyl Albums at No. 19, chart week dated October 15th.

Pixies recently did two in-store signing appearances during release week including the store Fingerprints in California and NYC’s Rough Trade. Hundreds of fans showed up at each event to get their Doggerel albums signed by the band.

Pixies are currently on a run of outdoor headline shows as well as a huge Hyde Park gig as guests to Pearl Jam. Pixies’ remaining 2022 live shows include shows in North America, South America, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand and they have just announced 2023 European tour dates.
