Over 30k fans turned out to see a free performance
Post Malone took over Lower Broadway Wednesday night with over 30,000 of his closest friends to officially commemorate the grand opening of his bar, Posty’s, located at 305 Broadway. The venue is the largest ground-floor footprint located on Broadway with 26,000 square feet that includes six bars, three stages, a rooftop, and dual entrances on Broadway and Third Avenue.
To kickstart the grand opening, Post was joined at the Third Avenue entrance of Posty’s by Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell, Metro Police Chief John Drake, District Councilman Jacob Kupin, and Director of Nightlife Benton McDonough to officially cut the ribbon to his bar. The opening ceremony was emceed by Wayne D of iHeartRadio.
“Posty’s represents a new era for me and how I connect with my fans,” states Posty. “This place is about having a kickass time, leaving your lonelies at the door, and finding a friend inside.”
After the ribbon was cut, Post performed in front of 30,000+ fans from all over the country on a stage located at Third Avenue and Broadway. The stage had been brought in overnight and assembled for the pop-up performance.
Post played a country covers set of the classics. In addition to the hits, he brought out Dierks Bentley to duet on the hit “What Was I Thinking” and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum trailblazer Lainey Wilson to sing “Nosedive.” Post capped the night with the highest-selling country music duo of all time, Brooks & Dunn, for “Neon Moon” and “Brand New Man.”
Posty’s is owned and operated in partnership with TC Restaurant Group.
For fans looking to extend their stay in Nashville, Madame Tussauds Nashville will feature Post Malone’s wax figure for one week only at Posty’s from October 13-19. Post Malone “met” his Madame Tussauds wax figure backstage after his headlining performance at the Governors Ball in New York. The figure was originally revealed in Las Vegas in 2024.
The figure is dressed in a black Tom Ford suede jacket, turtleneck jumper, black jeans, cowboy boots, and a crystallized belt, replicating the iconic look the singer wore during his Saturday Night Live debut in May 2022, an ensemble he donated. Additional figure details include Chrome Hearts hoop earrings and a ring, and, in true Post Malone fashion, a beer-filled red cup. It took nine months of work by 20 talented studio artists to create the astonishingly lifelike figure.
