The shows will be filmed for a future release
In anticipation of their upcoming studio album, Puscifer invites a small number of fans to experience the album with two very special, intimate performances in Los Angeles on August 11th at Exchange L.A.
The back-to-back sets at 5 and 8 pm mark the Maynard James Keenan-led band’s most intimate shows ever.
These performances will be filmed for a future release.
The album will be the band’s first since Existential Reckoning was released in 2020.
Puscifer began as Maynard James Keenan’s “creative subconscious,” a personal playground for his various musical ideas and explorations. It was initially a solo project, but later frequent collaborators Mat Mitchell and Carina Round became permanent members. Keenan describes Puscifer as “simply a playground for the various voices in my head, a space with no clear or discernible goals, where my ID, ego, and anima all come together to exchange cookie recipes.”
The band’s sound is distinct from Keenan’s other bands, often described as experimental rock, alternative rock, art rock, electronic rock, and post-industrial. It incorporates humor, personal musings, and a blend of genres.
While Keenan is the driving force on vocals, the core members include Mat Mitchell on guitar, bass, keyboards, programming and Carina Round on vocals, guitar, percussion, keyboards. Other musicians often contribute to their albums and live performances, including Greg Edwards on bass and Gunnar Olsen on drums for touring.
