The single and video are available now
Grammy-nominated recording artist Quavo has teamed up with fellow QC megastar Lil Baby to deliver his latest single and music video, “Legends,” via Quality Control Music/Motown Records. The new single comes as Quavo’s second official release of the year and follows a monumental 2024. The heavily anticipated collaboration sees the two chart-topping artists trading bars about legacy, resilience, and the journey from struggle to superstardom. Blending Quavo’s melodic delivery with Lil Baby’s sharp lyricism, “Legends” is a triumphant anthem that celebrates their rise while cementing their status as icons of Atlanta’s rap scene.
Directed by Hidji, the accompanying music video opens with the duo rapping in a garage full of luxury cars, setting the tone for a celebration of success. Scenes of yacht parties, poolside glamour, and high-speed cruises through the city showcase the opulence they’ve earned, while both artists reflect on their come-up and the trials they’ve overcome—reminding listeners why they remain two of the brightest stars in the rap game.
Quavo rose to prominence as the frontman of the hip-hop trio Migos, alongside his nephew Takeoff and their friend Offset. Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset were raised together by Quavo’s mother, Edna Marshall, in Gwinnett County, a suburban area northeast of Atlanta.
Formed in 2008, the trio was originally known as Polo Club before changing their name. They gained significant recognition with their 2013 hit single “Versace,” which was later remixed by Drake. Migos released four commercially successful studio albums before disbanding in 2023.
Quavo has featured on numerous hit singles by other artists, including Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One,” and Justin Bieber’s “Intentions.”
He released his debut solo album, Quavo Huncho, in 2018, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. His second solo album, Rocket Power in 2023, was a tribute to Takeoff, who tragically passed away in 2022. Quavo witnessed the murder of his nephew Takeoff in Houston, Texas, on November 1, 2022.
Quavo continues to be an active and influential figure in the music industry, exploring solo work and collaborations while honoring the legacy of Migos and his late nephew.
