“Bringin’ Back Christmas” by Ryan Reynolds & Spirited Ensemble now available
Republic Records will release of Spirited Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on November 18th. The highly anticipated Apple Original Film and new holiday epic from director Sean Anders, Spirited, premieres globally the same day on Apple TV+.
To herald the soundtrack, the first single “Bringin’ Back Christmas” performed by star Ryan Reynolds and The Spirited Ensemble is available now. It offers up a fresh take on the holidays!
The 12-track album features new original music penned for the film by the Academy Award-winning duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and performed by stars Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, and more.
Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. For the first time, “A Christmas Carol” is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale. From director Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home, Instant Family), written by Sean Anders and John Morris, with original songs by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman) and production numbers choreographed by Chloe Arnold (The Late Late Show with James Corden), this modern retelling is a sweet and spicy holiday treat.
