Rihanna has been named America’s youngest self-made billionaire at age 34. Forbes estimates the Barbadian beauty’s net worth is $1.4 billion thanks to the success of her fast-growing cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty.
The cosmetics company, which she co-owns with French luxury retailer LVMH, bares Rihanna’s last name and generated more than $550 million in revenue in 2020. Her Fenty high-fashion clothing line with LVMH shuttered in February 2021 due to soft sales.
The singer also owns a 30% stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, which raised money at a $1 billion valuation in February 2021.
This is the first time the R&B star has made the list and placed 21st overall, but the only one under 40. This is the third year Rihanna has been named on Forbe’s America’s richest self-made women tally.
