In 2007, former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant and bluegrass queen Alison Krauss released Raising Sand, one of the most acclaimed albums of the 21st Century. It was an unlikely, mesmerizing pairing of one of rock’s greatest frontmen with one of country music’s finest and most honored artists and went no to win six GRAMMY Awards, including Album and Record of the Year. Now, after 14 years, the two icons return with Raise the Roof, a dozen songs from a range of traditions and styles that extend this remarkable collaboration in new and thrilling directions.

The album, due November 19th via Rounder Records, was once again produced by T Bone Burnett. The first track, “Can’t Let Go,” is available now digitally. The classic was written by Randy Weeks and first recorded by Lucinda Williams. Songs by Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, the Everly Brothers, Anne Briggs, Geeshie Wiley, Bert Jansch and others appear, as well as the Plant/Burnett original “High And Lonesome.”

The set will be released on CD and a variety of vinyl configurations including 2 LP black vinyl, limited edition transparent yellow 2 LP vinyl and Coke bottle clear 2 LP, both being available for 1500 copies each. Target will have an exclusive version with alternate artwork and two bonus tracks.
