The show was set for tonight at The Colosseum
Rod Stewart has canceled the 200th and final show of his long-running residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas tonight (Aug 7th). The rock icon says he’s “gutted” by the decision due to strep throat.
“I’m desperately sorry to miss this 200th show celebration. Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me,” he says in a social media statement. “I’m absolutely gutted. I’ve been looking forward to this concert for so long. My deepest regrets for any inconvenience this has caused. Thankfully we’ll now be returning in 2025 and I hope to see you all there.”
Since its debut in 2011, the rock icon has delivered an arena-sized concert in an intimate concert experience that’s exclusive to Las Vegas audiences, with no seat more than 145 feet from his majestic stage. Rod Stewart: The Hits features chart-topping hits spanning Stewart’s unparalleled five-decade career, the production remains one of the best-reviewed and must-see shows on the Las Vegas Strip. The hits-packed setlist includes songs like, “You Wear It Well,” “Maggie May,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” “The First Cut is the Deepest,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “Every Picture Tells A Story,” “Infatuation,” and “Forever Young.”
