Grammy winning Colombian artists-producer duo, The Rudeboyz, present debut single “Ojalá” with Maluma and Adam Levine via talent incubator NEON16 & Sony Music Latin and in collaboration with WK Entertainment. A preview of the single was leaked last week via Levine’s TikTok and Maluma’s Instagram and is already proving to be a fan favorite amassing millions of views. “Ojalá” is part of The Rudeboyz’s forthcoming debut project through which they will launch their careers as artists.

“We are initiating a new chapter of our career as producers-artists alongside Maluma and Adam Levine. ‘Ojalá’ is a romantic and danceable record where we joined forces with Maluma to continue his incredible musical legacy accompanied by Adam Levine who sings in Spanish for the first time,” explain The Rudeboyz about their debut record.

“My colleagues and friends Kevin and Chan (The Rudeboyz) are amazingly talented. They have grown in the music industry alongside me, collaborating together for over 10 years; and it makes me very happy to be part of this their first single as artists and alongside the great Adam Levine,” affirms Maluma.

The steamy and dark visuals were shot in Miami and directed by Diane Martel (Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, The 1975). The video opens with The Rudeboyz talking about making their dream collaboration happen followed by a sexy performance of the record alongside Maluma and Adam Levine.

The Rudeboyz recently signed to NEON16, the company behind crossover hits such as “Un Día (One Day) by Bad Bunny, Dua Lipa, J Balvin & Tainy, “I Like It,” by Cardi B, Bad Bunny & J Balvin, and “Summer of Love” by Shawn Mendes, and the global breakthrough of producer turned artist Tainy. Together they worked on developing the collaboration by tapping longtime Adam Levine collaborator J Kash who alongside Adam, The Rudeboyz and Lex Borrero crafted what would become “Ojalá.”

Levine’s love for Latin music and culture grew over his many years touring Latin America. He had been looking for a record to merge his sound and voice with the feel and movement of Latin music. On Maroon 5’s recent album Jordi, he collaborated with Anuel AA and Tainy on the track “Button” which sparked his desire to sing in Spanish on a Latin record, an opportunity that “Ojalá” provided by merging Maluma’s sensual lyrics with Adam’s iconic tone and melodies to create the perfect Latin pop record.
