Rufus Du Sol shares ‘Music is Better’ remix package

Club and remix versions are available now

Grammy-winning live electronic trio Rufus Du Sol has shared the official remix package for their new single “Music is Better,” which includes a club version and a remix by Belgian producer/DJ Maxi Meraki, via Rose Avenue/Warner Records.

Music is Better Remixed” follows the band’s tradition of honoring their dance roots with remixes designed for clubland. Over the years, their hit singles have seen official remixes from Solomun, Adriatique, Anyma, Adam Port, Carlita, and more.

“Music is Better Remixed” expands on the euphoric nature of the original while binding the danceable rhythms that capture the iridescent movements of Rufus’ bespoke DJ sets. Alongside an extended club edit from the group, the package is complemented by a melodic techno remix provided by Maxi Meraki. Maintaining the uplifting spirit of the original, Mekari’s remix extends “Music is Better” into a near seven minutes of crescendoing synths and driving bass lines.

In the three years since Surrender was released, Rufus Du Sol won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2022 for lead single “Alive,” was twice-nominated the following year for Best Dance/Electronic Album, and earned their fifth Aria Award in Australia. The band circled the globe appearing at festivals across Europe and South America, and played Surrender on stages throughout North America. The band also launched their boutique Sundream Festival, which held its second edition in San José del Cabo in 2023.

“Music is Better Remixed” arrives ahead of Rufus Du Sol’s only live show this year, headlining the Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 28th.
