The pop star adds more shows to her Short N’ Sweet Tour
This week, Sabrina Carpenter achieves another career milestone as she earns her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her latest single “Please Please Please” soaring to the top of the chart. In addition to claiming the top spot, Carpenter’s other summer smash hit single “Espresso” continues to to hold strong in the Top 5 of the Hot 100 this week at No. 4.
Carpenter has also added more shows to her highly anticipated upcoming North American headlining arena tour, The Short n’ Sweet Tour. The new dates include the Toyota Center in Houston, the Barclays Center in New York, and two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Sabrina announced the tour last week to an outpouring of fanfare and excitement. The 33-date tour kicks off on September 23rd in Columbus, OH, and will hit cities across the US and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Austin, and more. Amaarae, Griff and Declan McKenna will be supporting Sabrina on this tour.
Presales are underway ahead of the public on Friday, June 28th at 10 am local time. Sabrina also teamed up with Spotify to create a first-ever Top Listener Fan Pit at each show. In addition, they are launching the official Sabrina on Tour playlist, curated by Sabrina herself, full of catalog hits and her inspirations.
As the official wireless partner of the tour, T-Mobile is giving customers exclusive access to preferred tickets at every U.S. tour stop — even sold-out shows. T-Mobile customers can get their Reserved Tickets starting 30 days before each show at first-day prices, just another benefit of having Magenta Status, the Un-carrier’s suite of premium perks and experiences.
Sabrina has partnered with PLUS1 on this tour to launch the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, which will support the well-being of people and animals, including national and local organizations working on the issues of mental health, animal welfare, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The tour is in support of Carpenter’s recently announced album, Short n’ Sweet, out August 23rd. Earlier this month, Sabrina released “Please Please Please” as the second single from the forthcoming album. Sabrina enlisted Grammy Award-winning Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen as collaborators for the single. “Please Please Please” hit No. 1 on Spotify’s Global and US charts, No. 1 on Apple Music and this week, it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Sabrina debuted the song live at Governors Ball in New York earlier this month.
The global pop star has teamed with Gunpowder & Sky in partnership with Meta, to produce an immersive desert oasis VR concert experience, Sabrina Carpenter: A VR Concert, with spectacular stage design, vibrant costumes, expressive choreography, and hit songs. The dynamic concert was filmed in Los Angeles to build on the momentum of Carpenter’s electrifying Coachella performance, offering audiences an intimate look into her entertaining set in VR. It premieres on Friday, July 19th at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT exclusively in Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley.
