The golf classic, gala dinner & live auction will be held at the end of May
Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and longtime friend of the late Toby Keith, Sammy Hagar, will host the 21st Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic on May 30-31. Opening with the annual Friday night gala at Riverwind Casino, the invite-only event carries over with the next day’s shotgun start golf tournament at Keith’s Belmar Golf Club.
Gala entertainment will be provided by acclaimed corporate/private event band Party On The Moon. As the evening’s host, Hagar is likely to join the musical festivities with a few songs of his own, as well as some Toby Keith covers. Live and silent auctions will be a highlight with celebrated radio and TV personality Shawn Parr serving as auctioneer. Bidding will be open to the public with items including exclusive golf packages, trip for 12 to Tuscany, hand-painted guitars honoring Keith, items donated by Keith’s celebrity friends, and one special item — a guitar and poster autographed by all the artists who performed during the NBC-televised Toby Keith American Icon tribute concert last July.
Silent auction items include autographed guitars from Taylor Swift, Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Jamey Johnson and Thomas Rhett; signed items from sports icons Roger Clemens, Jack Nicklaus and Rickie Fowler; concert tickets from Lainey Wilson and Dylan Gossett; a Grand Ole Opry experience; a Texas Rangers experience; household items from Ashley Furniture; and jewelry, purses and more.
In 2024, the Toby Keith Foundation celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the opening of OK Kids Korral – a cost-free home for families with children receiving medical care. Marking the milestone, the Foundation bestowed $10,000 in grants to 10 local children’s charities. Last year’s 20th Anniversary Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic brought in $3.1 million for a to-date total of $20 million raised. With a new endowment established, Keith’s family pledged continued commitment to the foundation’s good works. In his final interview, Toby Keith told a local reporter that OK Kids Korral “is my best gift I’ve ever given to the world.”
