New single “Alive” is available now
Cemented as the hottest rock band in Los Angeles, The Scarlet Opera is set to release its debut EP, Comedy, on March 24th via SB Projects/Republic Records. The band’s new single, “Alive,” is available now. The band describes the inspiration behind the song, saying, “To know such intense heartache and pain, comes the ability to feel an equally visceral amount of joy and love – this is what we have come to understand about life – and we’d like to feel it all before we go.”
This week, the group made their late night television debut with an electrifying performance of “Alive” on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Featuring a white grand piano, stunning blue cape and gold opera glasses, and sensational vocal prowess by frontman Luka Bazulka, the impassioned performance captured the band’s true rock ‘n’ roll spirit.
The band has also announced their first ever headline tour dubbed Comedy : The Scarlet Opera Tour, which includes a string of dates along the west coast this spring. The tour will kick off in Sacramento on April 3rd and wrap with a hometown performance in Los Angeles on April 12th. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 3rd at 1 pm EST.
“Alive” follows the fan favorite “Big City Thing” which landed in the wake of their debut single “The Place To Be.” In addition to gaining traction at DSPs, they sold out a performance at the Troubadour last fall.
