Seventeen’s Mingyu, S Coups announce debut album ‘Hype Vibes’

The band is currently on tour

For Seventeen and their devoted fans, named Carats, September 2025 has turned into one of the busiest and most thrilling months. The 13-member group started their long-awaited World Tour New_ with a powerful set of shows in Korea. Now, Mingyu and S. Coups are heading into the spotlight with their own music project. The duo, known as CxM (Coups x Mingyu), is about to release their first mini-album, Hype Vibes. This release will add even more excitement to Seventeen’s milestone tenth anniversary year.

Hype Vibes is the first official unit album between Mingyu and S. Coups. It will be released on September 29th at 6 pm KST via Pledis Entertainment. There are six songs on the mini-album, and each one brings something new to the table while still staying true to Seventeen’s concepts of youth, energy, and connection.

The first teasers for the album show pictures full of sunset colors, summer parties, and carefree celebrations of life. Hype Vibes is meant to connect people closer through fun, shared memories, and positive energy, just like how fans get into cultural favorites like the Tong it Game on GameZone.

Seventeen’s World Tour New_ is currently en route as the album’s release draws near. The tour officially started with two sold-out shows at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13-14. Fans were thrilled by the group’s powerful performances and emotional throwbacks to their older hits.

The tour continues at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on September 27-28, before heading to the US in October. Soon, more international dates will be announced, which will keep fans all over the world on the edge of their seats.

It seems like the timing of Hype Vibes with the tour was planned to show off how versatile Seventeen is as a group and as individuals. The collaboration between Mingyu and S. Coups shows off their charm and chemistry, showing that Hype Vibes is still finding new ways to grow musically after ten years together.

For Carats, this month isn’t just about cheering for concerts or pre-saving albums. It’s about seeing a team that continues to grow with them, keeps coming up with new ideas, and stays true to their roots. Seventeen’s ability to surprise and please their fans is unmatched, whether it’s through big stadium concerts or smaller unit projects.

September 2025 will be a big month for Seventeen’s global journey, as Hype Vibes gets ready to come out and the New World Concert Tour picks up speed. It looks like Seventeen is going to be making their 10th anniversary year one for the books with new music, sold-out concerts, and a lot of surprises still to come.
