The band was set to tour for a month this fall
The Sex Pistols, featuring Frank Carter, have canceled their 2025 North American tour due to guitarist Steve Jones breaking his wrist.
In a statement posted to social media, Jones said, “I’ve got some good news and bad news. What do you want first? Okay, the bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately, we won’t be doing any shows for a while. The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.”
“The performances will be postponed and rescheduled when Steve has fully recovered. Please check local venue websites and our social media for more information. We appreciate your understanding and support,” the band shares.
The tour, which was set to be the band’s first extended U.S. run since 2003, featured original members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook, with vocalist Frank Carter in place of frontman John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon. The performances will be postponed and rescheduled once Jones has fully recovered.
The group was set to perform the iconic 1977 album, Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols, in its entirety, plus more, in celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary. The run was set to kick off on September 16th in Dallas.
