Shaboozey’s American Dogwood imprint debuts with a new collab
Shaboozey returns with his latest single, “Move On,” a collaboration with Kevin Powers. Earlier this month, Shaboozey announced he’d continue his wild year of award nods, critical accolades, and record-breaking hits by starting his own record imprint, American Dogwood, in partnership with his label home Empire.
The duo initially previewed the track upon the announcement of Powers as American Dogwood’s first signee, serving as the perfect introduction to everything the label is about — an extension of Shaboozey’s own genre-blurring, trail-blazing style. Accompanied by a video featuring Shaboozey and Powers riding a beat-up RV through the countryside, “Move On” is a post-breakup anthem addressed to an ex who’s gone on to a different chapter of life. Dubbed Southern pop, Powers’ style is a natural match for Shaboozey’s, making for an earworm track primed for mainstream success.
Following the runaway success of Shaboozey’s breakthrough project, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, and the newly RIAA-diamond certified mega-hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” 2025 has seen Shaboozey making good on his breakthrough at every turn. Before introducing American Dogwood, Shaboozey also released the expanded edition of Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, including new songs featuring Jelly Roll on “Amen,” Myles Smith on “Blink Twice” & Sierra Ferrell on “Hail Mary,” and most prominently, his single “Good News,” which just became his second single to top Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart. He has also released a slew of singles throughout the last month, including the official opening track of Prime Sport’s Thursday Night Football entitled “Let ‘Em Know” and his Stephen Wilson Jr. collaboration “Took a Walk,” written for the end titles of Lionsgate’s motion picture The Long Walk.
The momentum will keep rolling with this fall’s The Great American Roadshow Tour, which will see Shaboozey make a grand return to the stage for his first solo US tour dates of 2025, as well as his first-ever Australian Tour, joining Jelly Roll as a special guest on The Down Under 2025 Tour as well as appearing at the inaugural Strummingbird Festivals and Sunburnt Country Festival.
