Most sales in one week by an original fourth generation K-pop group

Stray Kids make history as their new album Oddinary debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart. The album was released on March 18th via JYP/Imperial/Republic.

The historic accomplishments include the highest album sales in one week by any artist this year, the most sales in one week by an original fourth generation K-Pop group, and the first original K-Pop act to make their debut appearance on Billboard 200 at No. 1, solidifying Stray Kids’ explosive transformation from underdogs to global dominators.

The album also debuts No. 1 on both the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart and World Albums Chart, marking their first No. 1 on the World Albums Chart. This also will be the first JYP Entertainment title and artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It is also important to note that upon release every song from Oddinary impacted the Top 200 on the Global Spotify Chart and the album topped iTunes Albums Chart in 56 regions.

Stray Kids have set dates for the 2nd World Tour “MANIAC,” reuniting with fans for the first time in over two years. The world tour will kick off in Seoul on April 29th with 16 shows across 10 cities including Kobe, Tokyo, Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Seattle, with more dates to come.

Since launching in 2017, Stray Kids have impressively amassed over two billion global Spotify streams, becoming one of only four K-Pop boy groups in Spotify history to reach this milestone. In 2021 alone, they generated the third-most streams of any K-Pop group on Spotify. They also hold the distinction of being JYP Entertainment’s first million-selling artist, moving 1.1 million units of NoEasy in under two weeks. Their total sales in 2021 exceeded over 2.7 million. NoEasy notably also reached No. 1 in 40 territories on the iTunes Overall Albums Chart, while “Thunderous” soared to No. 1 in 52 territories on the iTunes Overall Top Songs Chart. The “Thunderous” video also trended at No. 1 worldwide on YouTube for four days.
