The band takes “Landmines” to No. 1

Multi-platinum-selling rock band Sum 41 has scored their first No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart in more than two decades with their single “Landmines” rising to the top spot in its 21 weeks on the chart, Billboard chart week dated March 9th.

Nearly twenty-two-and-a-half years since the band last topped the chart, the group makes Billboard chart history by ending the longest stretch between Alternative Airplay No. 1’s since the charts’ inception 36 years ago.

“Landmines” is the lead single on the band’s upcoming final album, Heaven :x: Hell, a 20-track double album that will be released on March 29th by BMG label Rise Records. In May 2023, the group made a collective statement saying they would be disbanding after 27 years together.

Sum 41 is currently performing on their 70+ confirmed dates Tour of The Setting Sum final headlining world tour. The group kicked off their run of shows on March 1st with dates running throughout 2024 before their final show on January 30, 2025, in Toronto, ON.
