Grand Ole Opry star returns to hometown on Sept 2nd

Taylor Mill, KY is honoring Carly Pearce with a special ceremony and signage honoring the local dreamer turned country star. The city along with Mayor Dan Bell and the city commission are holding the ceremony on Thursday, September 2nd at 11:30 am local time at Pride Park at 5614 Taylor Mill Rd. Taylor Mill, KY 41015.

Following the event, Pearce will head to the Ovation Music Pavilion in Newport for an opening slot on Lady A’s What A Song Can Do Tour.

Fiercely rooted in the classics, the girl who left her Taylor Mill, KY home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression and is confident in what she wants to say. Lighting a fire with her debut album Every Little Thing and the Platinum-certified history making title track, Pearce is a committed songwriter, who believes truth and music are the greatest form of resilience.

The CMA and double ACM Awards winner most recently celebrated 2X Platinum certification of “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” her No. 1 duet with Lee Brice she wrote alongside Luke Combs, Randy Montana, and Jonathan Singleton. Teaming with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne to create the in-the-moment 29, their creative dialogue turned into the 15 song 29: Written In Stone due September 17 on Big Machine Records. “Dear Miss Loretta” is a from-the-heart outreach to Country Music Hall of Famer Loretta Lynn that crowns the project and features fellow Kentucky icon Patty Loveless.

Earlier this month, Pearce was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry after being invited by her idol Dolly Parton in June. Pearce has performed on the Opry stage more than 80 times and was treated with Trisha Yearwood and Jeannie Seely on hand for her big night.
