The pop star becomes the first Canadian to reach the milestone

The Weeknd has notably garnered two new RIAA diamond certifications. His freshly minted diamond-certified smashes include “Save Your Tears” and “Die For You.” With this achievement, he enters rarified air yet again, emerging as the first Canadian artist to score seven RIAA diamond certifications and the third overall artist to score seven RIAA diamond certifications.

The Weeknd’s other diamond singles include “The Hills,” “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk, “Blinding Lights,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.”

Additionally, he also received platinum certifications for 2023 hits “Popular” with Madonna & Playboi Carti and “One of the Girls” with Jennie & Lily-Rose Depp. Making history, Jennie has now become the first female K-pop soloist to earn a platinum single from the RIAA. Meanwhile, “Popular” marks Madonna’s first platinum single released since “4 Minutes.” This also becomes Lily-Rose Depp’s first platinum certification.
