Tracy Lawrence announces Mission: Possible Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert 20th anniversary

The event takes place on November 25th

Nineties country star and philanthropist Tracy Lawrence announces the return of his annual Mission: Possible Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert, celebrating its 20th year on November 25th. The milestone anniversary event will be bigger than ever before, aiming to feed over 32,000 people in need in Middle Tennessee through the Nashville Rescue Mission, eight surrounding county school systems, and boots on the ground community organizations who provide for those in need.

“I cannot believe we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the turkey fry,” Lawrence says. “This event started with a few of my buddies in a church parking lot and only cooking 200 birds. Now our footprint has grown, and we’re cooking 2,000 turkeys and feeding so many throughout Middle Tennessee. Big things!”

To coincide with the event’s announcement, Lawrence has launched a new seasoning to join his growing line of cooking products. Named Tracy Lawrence’s All-Natural Seasoning, the product touts being free from MSG, gluten, sugar and genetically modified organisms (non-GMO). The seasoning comes in four flavors – creole, garlic and onion salt, seasoning salt and cracked pepper garlic – and is sold in select Scheel’s stores as well as Amazon and Lawrence’s website. Last fall, Lawrence launched an all-natural marinade, inspired by his daughter’s food allergies, and demonstrated the product on Fox & Friends. Select profits from the marinade and seasoning benefit Lawrence’s Mission: Possible charity.

“Watching the successful launch of the marinade was inspiring,” adds Lawrence. “I knew I wanted to continue to add to the product line with variations of seasoning flavors. These seasonings share the cleanliness of the marinade ingredients — gluten free, no MSG, no sugar and no artificial flavoring. That is really important to me when creating these products. I can’t wait for everyone to try them.”

Fans can expect the marinade and seasoning to be featured at Lawrence’s turkey fry and benefit concert, which will kick off early morning on November 25th at the Nashville Fairgrounds. With the help of Cargill, the Poultry Federation and Operation BBQ, the event has expanded to feed more people in the community with 2,000 cooked turkeys – 400 more than last year – and 1,200 frozen turkeys distributed.

The festivities will continue into the night at Luke Combs’ Category 10 for a benefit concert, with the lineup to be released soon. Pre-sale for the event begins today (Mon, Aug 11th) with the password TURKEY25, with general onsale this Friday, August 15th at 10 am CT. Last year, the concert raised $250,000 for the third year for Mission: Possible, featuring performances by Lawrence, Russell Dickerson, Meghan Patrick, John Schneider and Halfway To Hazard. Past performers of the annual concert include Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Chris Young, Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, Lee Brice and more.

Since its inception, Lawrence’s Mission: Possible has fried over 10,000 turkeys, provided more than 86,000 meals to the homeless across Middle Tennessee, donated over $1M to Nashville Rescue Mission and raised over $2.5 million, which helps to further its goals, advocate for those in need and expand their ability to support aligned causes.
