The six-song project features “Love Me Back”
Multi-platinum country artist Tyler Farr continues to make his mark on country music with the release of his new EP, Quit Bein’ Country, via Droptine Recordings. The six-song collection, co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Julian King (Faith Hill, Tim McGraw) and veteran producer/executive Jim Catino, finds Farr returning to the heart of what defines him — faith, family, small-town values, and real-life storytelling. With his trademark powerhouse vocals front and center, Quit Bein’ Country blends grit and emotion across tracks co-written by some of Nashville’s top hitmakers, including Josh Miller (Morgan Wallen), Josh Thompson (Blake Shelton), and Will Bundy (Ella Langley). Listen to the Quit Bein’ Country here.
“Quit Bein’ Country says everything about where I’m from and the values I was raised on—God, family, small-town life, hard work, and staying true to yourself,” says Farr. “The other songs are snapshots of love, heartbreak, and good times with friends, and cutting a classic like ‘Simple Man’ lets me tip my hat to the music that shaped me. It’s a project that feels real, honest, and personal, and I’m excited to share it with y’all.”
Farr’s standout focus track, “Love Me Back,” showcases his softer side — a raw, soul-baring ballad that balances emotional vulnerability with his signature edge. The track captures the ache of unreciprocated love and highlights the depth and maturity in Farr’s evolving artistry.
With themes drawn from Farr’s own life — from nods to his upbringing in “My Town Too” to his tribute to musical roots with “Simple Man” — Quit Bein’ Country delivers a mix of nostalgia, honesty, and modern country grit.
Farr has carved out a lasting place in the genre with his powerhouse voice and authentic storytelling. His debut album, Redneck Crazy, launched him into the spotlight, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 5 on the Billboard 200, led by the platinum-selling title track. Farr went on to earn three No. 1 hits, including “Redneck Crazy,” “Whiskey in My Water,” and “A Guy Walks Into a Bar,” and became the only solo male country artist in the past decade to see his first two albums debut in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.
Known for his deep ties to the military, love of the outdoors, and commanding live performances, Farr has toured with country icons including Jason Aldean, Luke Combs, and Florida Georgia Line. With his opera-trained voice and signature edge, Farr continues to evolve while staying rooted in authenticity — as heard in his recent collaboration “Country As Shit” featuring Jelly Roll.
Quit Bein’ Country marks a confident new chapter for Farr, one that stays true to his country roots while showcasing the growth of an artist unafraid to be both tough and tender.
