The band wrapped its five-month residency in March

The audio from U2’s record-breaking 40-date Las Vegas residency at the Sphere is set to premiere on radio waves globally this weekend. The final show of U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere can be heard on radio stations in the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, Italy, Ireland, Australia, France, Brazil, Mexico, and Germany beginning tomorrow (Thurs, Apr 18th) with airings slated through late-May.

SiriusXM debuted the show to subscribers in the US and Canada last month, before putting it on demand via its app.

The performance is paired with an extended interview with Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Bram van den Ber, recorded at Zoo Station at the Venetian in Las Vegas.

The audio is from the March 2nd finale and features the entire Achtung Baby album, its new single, “Atomic City,” and other classic favorites.

The band filmed video of the February 23rd, February 24th, and March 1st performances which are expected to be edited into a film to be shown at the Sphere. Further details will be shared as they become available.

The special run of shows featured top-of-the-line technology, celebrating the band’s acclaimed 1991 album Achtung Baby, and its accompanying industry-defining Zoo TV Tour which broke the mold in 1991. Van den Berg “deputized” the drum throne while Larry Mullen Jr. recuperated from surgery. Mullen Jr. attended at least one of the shows with Bono and Co dedicating “All I Want Is You” to their ailing comrade.

This weekend, U2 will commemorate its globally acclaimed Las Vegas run with Atomic City (U2/UV Live at Sphere, Las Vegas) for Record Store Day. Featuring a new live performance recording of “Atomic City” captured at the world’s most cutting-edge venue, alongside a remix by Mike WiLL Made-It, available for the first time physically. Pressed on a ten-inch transparent red vinyl with a poster included, the limited edition set is an RSD First release with 3,000 available at independent record stores on Saturday, April 20th.

Upon its release, “Atomic City,” hit the top spot on Billboard’s Alternative Digital Song Sales Chart, marking their first No. 1 and fifth Top 10 on the chart. The track has also landed in the top five at Triple A radio.
