$uicideboy$ releases new song

“Are You Going to See the Rose in the Vase or the Dust on the Table” is available now

New Orleans duo $uicideboy$ share an introspective new track titled “Are You Going To See The Rose In The Vase, Or The Dust On The Table” from their forthcoming album New World Depression, which will be available via G*59 Record$ on June 14th. Over melodic production, the poignant lyrics unfold a raw narrative of struggle and the quest for solace in a chaotic world. Through their distinctive lens, $uicideboy$ explore themes of personal trauma, isolation, and the temptation of self-destructive behaviors as coping mechanisms. The verses juxtapose memories of simpler times with the harsh realities of adulthood, revealing a deep sense of loss and disconnection.

The new music follows “Us Vs Them” the lead single from New World Depression, which navigates themes of fame, self-destruction, and the relentless search for identity. That song has already gained 15 million streams since its release last month. The gritty track that confronts challenges and societal disconnection and resilience against mainstream norms, landed on popular Spotify playlists New Music Friday, Tirade, Alternative Hip-Hop and many others.

This summer, rap cousins Ruby da Cherry and $crim will celebrate the release of their upcoming album and embark on Grey Day 2024, an arena and amphitheater tour across North America with support from Denzel Curry, Pouya, Shakewell, HAARPER, and Ekkstacy. The annual Grey Day Tour, since its inception in 2019, has emerged as a standout and one of the biggest summer tours to unite rap, punk, and hardcore genres, while also serving as a launching pad and first national tour for many critically acclaimed artists. This year, the tour partnered with PLUS1 to help support mental health by donating $1 from every ticket sold. Below is the complete list of tour dates with supporting acts in each city.

Across the 13-track New World Depression release, the duo’s raw, unfiltered lyrics serve as an honest narrative of personal turmoil, substance abuse, and the struggle for authenticity in a world that often feels cold and indifferent. This album is an unapologetic exploration of the darker sides of human experience, resonating with anyone who has ever felt out of place or battled with their own shadows. The album release will commemorate the tenth anniversary of the formation of $uicideboy$.

Since forming a decade ago in 2014, the $uicideboy$ have prolifically shared their distinctive fusion of rap, punk, and trap with audiences worldwide. Starting out as pioneers of the SoundCloud Rap movement, they have racked over 20 billion all-time streams, placing them in the Top 100 streaming artists of all time. In 2023, they were named one of Billboard’s Top Grossing Hip-Hop Touring Artists of All-Time, one of Spotify’s Top Groups of 2023 and one of SoundCloud’s Top 5 Most Streamed Artists.
