The rocker was sidelined for ten months due to a medical procedure
Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil returned to the stage for the first time in nearly a year last night (Fri, Aug 1st). The 80s rocker appeared with his solo band for seven songs at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston with Poison frontman Bret Michaels and Ratt’s Stephen Pearcy, while recuperating from an undisclosed medical procedure.
“ It’s good to be here. I haven’t been on stage since almost a year now. I had a medical thing that happened to me, and they said I wouldn’t be back on stage here. I said, ‘Fuck that, man.’ And I’m back and I’m with you guys tonight. And I’m really proud to be here, man. Thank you so much,” he said while introducing Motley’s “Shout at the Devil.”
The performance was Neil’s first since last October when he and Motley headlined Aftershock in Sacramento. In the spring, the group’s third Las Vegas residency was postponed due to a required medical procedure advised by Neil’s doctors.
The ten-run residency has been moved to this fall, with the group headlining Park MGM from September 12th through October 3rd. Off the heels of the historic Höllywood Takeöver club shows at the iconic Whisky A Go Go, Roxy, and Troubadour in Los Angeles last fall, the Crüe is excited to bring an unforgettable night and inimitable new show with many surprises to fans for the residency — From The Sunset Strip, To The Las Vegas Strip. The legendary band that pioneered the Las Vegas rock residency over a decade ago is excited to return to the city following their two previous sold-out runs: Mötley Crüe Takes On Sin City in 2012 and Evening In Hell in 2013.
