The five-disc set features previously unreleased material
Rhino is set to release Whitesnake’s 11th studio album, Forevermore, as a five-disc deluxe box set on September 26th. The 4 CD/Blu-ray Forevermore: Revisited, Remixed And Remastered includes a remixed version of the album with bonus tracks, demos, live, and alternate takes. The Blu-ray features promo videos, exclusive live performances, and behind-the-scenes footage. The set will also include a 60-page booklet, a replica 2011 tour book, and a poster.
The set will also be available as a 2 LP edition.
The album, which debuted inside the top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart, includes “Unzipped” Versions of “Easier Said Than Done” and “Forevermore.”
Frontman David Coverdale produced the project that also features The Hook City Strings on select songs.
Forevermore was released in 2011, marking the band’s second album since their 2003 reunion, following Good to Be Bad in 2008. It features a new rhythm section with bassist Michael Devin and drummer Brian Tichy joining longtime members Coverdale on vocals and guitarists Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach.
Forevermore was generally well-received by critics, with many noting a successful fusion of the band’s various styles, from the blues-rock of their early days to the more commercial hard rock of their late-80s material. The title track, a seven-minute epic, was particularly praised as one of the best songs the band had released in decades.
