Outdoor shows will still be performed

Due to COVID-19, Willie Nelson has canceled all indoor headlining performances for the foreseeable future. Canceled performances include two March shows at the CMA Theater in Nashville, a March 19th stop at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, a 4/20 show in Peoria, IL and an April 25th show in Nashville, IN.

His rep confirms they will attempt to make up the canceled dates when conditions improve.

“We are canceling our indoor headline shows until the COVID situation improves, as the safety of the audience and Willie and his touring personnel are of the utmost importance. When we are able, we will look to make up shows when possible,” his publicist shares.

Nelson has canceled shows in the past due to health concerns, including breathing issues. It’s unknown if he’s currently suffering from any ailments.

With the cancelation announcement, Nelson has added four new outdoor stops which include April 22nd in Tuscaloosa, AL; April 24th in Simpsonville, SC; May 6th in Franklin, TN and May 7th in Brandon, MS.

The legendary singer/songwriter will release A Beautiful Time on Friday, April 29th, Nelson’s 89th birthday. The project is his 17th for Sony Legacy Recordings and will be available on CD, black vinyl and Barnes & Noble exclusive orange vinyl. Fans who purchase from Vinyl Me Please will also receive a poster. The set will be offered in spatial hi-res digital audio in Atmos and 360RA formats.

Nelson was featured in two Sketchers Super Bowl ads that support the comfort technology brand’s footwear. The global campaign featured two commercials filmed on his Luck Ranch near Austin, Texas — one featuring his iconic song “On the Road Again” and a second that offers a fun twist on his signature advocacy to legalize…comfort.
