XG’s world tour has seen a surge in sold-out tickets

XG, the hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group, is achieving remarkable success with their latest song “Something Ain’t Right,” released on July 26th, the follow-up to their previous hit “Woke Up.”

“Something Ain’t Right” serves as the first pre-release track from XG’s upcoming second mini-album, set to drop on November 8th. This track features a retro vibe built on garage rhythms, showcasing addictive refrains highlighting each of the seven members’ unique personalities. It also blends minimalism with diverse sounds hidden within the track. The song is directly produced by Jakops, the representative and executive producer of Xgalx, infusing it with XG’s originality and creating music that inspires everyone to dance, regardless of age or gender,

The music video, released on the same day as the song, visually represents “XG living their daily lives while concealing their alien instincts.” It depicts a sudden reveal of XG’s special abilities while disguised as humans, leading to chaos in the city.

In less than a week since its release, the music video has surpassed 5 million views and ranked on the YouTube trending charts in 13 countries and regions, including first in Japan, ninth in Brazil, and 11th in the UK, drawing global attention right from its debut.

On the iTunes Song Chart (Dance), the song ranked first in 14 countries and regions, including the United States and Saudi Arabia. In the iTunes Song Chart (Overall), it reached the top 100 in 18 countries, securing first in Singapore and third in Japan, showcasing its popularity.

On Spotify, “Something Ain’t Right” has achieved impressive results, breaking records previously set by XG’s last track “Woke Up.” It entered the New Music Friday global playlist, a rare feat for a Japanese artist, reaching 27 countries and regions, including the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia. This accomplishment further cements XG’s status as a global rising group.

Additionally, on August 1st, it was announced that XG’s previous track “Woke Up,” released on May 21st, secured the top spot for nine consecutive weeks on the Billboard Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan chart. All eyes are now on how “Something Ain’t Right” will perform on next week’s chart.
