XG shares ‘Gala’ dance practice video

The track is the lead single from their first studio album

Hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group XG has released a Dance Practice Video for “Gala,” the lead single from their upcoming first full album.

“Gala” was released on September 19th when they performed the track on Japanese TV. Their high-level dance performances across a wide range of styles quickly became a hot topic of conversation amongst fans, who immediately requested the release of a dance practice video.

This newly released video showcases choreography that blends fashion-inspired elements such as mannequin-like movements and voguing, and individual highlights such as Cocona’s breakdancing and Harvey’s acrobatic elegance. Together, the performance highlights each member’s unique skills, powerful expressions, and commanding stage presence.

The track itself is performing strongly across global charts. On the Billboard Japan Hot 100, “Gala” ranked at No. 11. On the Global Japan Songs excl. Japan chart, it reached No. 3, with No. 1 placements in Brazil and the U.S., No. 2 in Singapore, the U.K., South Africa, and Malaysia, No. 4 in France, Taiwan, and Germany, and No. 5 in Thailand and Indonesia. In the U.S., the song entered the Billboard Dance Digital Song Sales chart at No. 10, XG’s first-ever entry on this chart. The music video ranked on YouTube’s trending charts in 21 countries and regions worldwide, including the U.S., U.K., and Japan.

“Gala” is a high-energy runway anthem infused with futuristic sounds and striking visual imagery. With distinctive synth tones and a danceable beat, the song boldly reimagines the world of fashion through XG’s unique sensibility, breaking conventions and presenting a new vision. Opening with a cinematic, space-like intro, the track fuses powerful rap, bilingual flows, driving house rhythms, and theatrical production to present XG’s one-of-a-kind show, X Gala.

XG is currently on its China Festival Tour, performing consecutively at major Chinese music festivals in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Luzhou. On October 11-12, they will perform at Coca‑Cola X Fes 2025 held at Saitama Super Arena.
