XG to release first live album

XG 1st World Tour: The First Howl Live will be available on August 8th

Hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group XG will release their first live album, XG 1st World Tour: The First Howl Live, on Friday, August 8th, via XGALAX. The album features live audio from their emotional and unforgettable Tokyo Dome concert, which marked the grand finale of their first-ever world tour.

Spanning nearly a year from May 2024, the tour visited 35 cities across 18 countries and regions, with 47 shows. Most performances were sold out, demonstrating XG’s explosive global popularity. In April 2025, they performed at Coachella, one of the world’s largest music festivals, where they trended at No. 2 worldwide on X and received high praise from international media. The Tokyo Dome performance, viewed as a triumphant return and a symbolic milestone, delivered an unforgettable show to 50,000 fans.

This live album captures the full energy and presence of that momentous night, which is widely seen as a major turning point in XG’s journey. It features 18 songs across 13 tracks, including signature hits like “Woke Up,” “Shooting Star,” and “Left Right,” along with emotional highlights such as “In the Rain” and “Is This Love,” which has charted on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 for 21 consecutive weeks.

Through this release, listeners can relive the essence of XG’s universe, their raw emotion, and the powerful connection they share with their fans.

XG is also set to headline the first day of a-nation 2025 on Saturday, August 30th at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo. This will be their first music festival performance since Coachella, and anticipation is high for what they will bring to the stage.
