XG to release ‘Gala’ ahead of first album

The new album drops in January 2026

Over the weekend, XG made their first-ever appearance as a headliner at A-Nation 2025, one of Japan’s biggest summer festivals, captivating the audience with a commanding performance. During the show, they surprised fans by announcing that their first full album would be released on January 23rd. They’ll follow up with the announcement of a long-awaited new single.

The pre-release digital single “Gala” will be on Friday, September 19th, via XGALX.

“Gala” is a high-energy runway anthem, powered by futuristic sounds and striking visual imagery. With its distinctive synth tones and danceable beat, the track boldly reimagines the world of fashion, breaking down conventions and presenting a new set of values through XG’s unique perspective.

Opening with a dramatic, space-scale intro, “Gala” brings together hard-hitting rap, bilingual flows, a driving house rhythm, and cinematic sound design to deliver a one-of-a-kind showcase titled “X Gala.” It’s a performance-driven track that blends fashion, power, and glamour into one and stands as a key song that embodies the XG worldview.

The cover art, released alongside the announcement, visually captures the song’s unique and glamorous world, further building anticipation for its release.

This release is generating high expectations as the first glimpse of their debut album and a declaration of XG’s self-defined genre, X-Pop.

XG is also hosting The First Howl Exhibition at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Tokyo. The exhibition features curated live photos taken during the tour, actual stage outfits worn by the members, immersive video content, and exclusive limited-edition merchandise.

XG will also embark on their China Festival Tour, performing consecutively at major Chinese music festivals in Beijing on October 2nd, Guangzhou on October 4th, and Luzhou on October 7th. On October 11-12, they will perform at Coca‑Cola X Fes 2025 held at Saitama Super Arena.
