The rapper received a special custom jersey

Proving dreams do come true, Yung Gravy is going to the big leagues! The St. Louis Cardinals have offered him a one-day contract, and the multi-platinum superstar graciously accepted the terms and a custom jersey. St. Louis native and commentator Greg Amsinger notably broke the news on MLB Network’s MLB Tonight.

As the story goes, your boy Gravy struck out (virally) after podcast host and influencer Bobbi Althoff asked him if he played for the Cardinals. So, he did what anybody in his position would do and turned to TikTok. He posted a video asking, “If there are any teams out there who would be willing to have Yung Gravy,” with Cardinals as a “first pick.”

Next up, he returns to the road for his biggest headline jaunt yet, the Grits & Gravy Tour 2024 produced by Live Nation. As part of his next chapter, the enigmatic artist, entrepreneur, and phenomenon promises an evening of “All new country clappers and seasoned trap classics.” He rolls through San Diego on July 3rd, plays major markets coast-to-coast, and wraps up this extravaganza with a massive hometown headline show in Minneapolis on November 29th.

Gravy strutted into the spotlight with his latest single and music video, “Clementine” from his upcoming album, Serving Country. About creating the song Yung Gravy shared, “I was staying at Zac Brown’s crib in Georgia and we tried sampling Chicken Fried. Turned out it was too perfect to be messed with, so I used that inspiration and cooked up a new song about my newfound love for Southern women.”

Gravy will remain on the road throughout the summer and fall. In between dates on the Grits & Gravy Tour 2024, he appears at festivals such as Governor’s Ball and will play several dates in Australia and New Zealand with friend and collaborator bbno$ this July.
