The hometown show was set for this week

Mammoth WVH has rescheduled its hometown show at the Whisky A Go Go on the legendary Sunset Strip. The show was originally set for Wednesday (Aug 18th), but has been postponed for October 12th, according to frontman Wolfgang Van Halen.

“Out of an abundance of caution, our headline show at the Whiskey A Go Go on August 18th will be rescheduled to October 12th,” Van Halen shares. “All tickets will be honored for the new date.”

Over the weekend, the band canceled two dates as the opener on Guns N Roses tour due to a positive COVID test within their touring entourage.

Mammoth WVH is among the growing acts to cancel or postpone dates due to the deadly virus. Tesla, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foo Fighters, Buckcherry and Korn have all been sidelined since returning to the road this summer.

Last week, organizers of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam postponed their festivals due to the surge of COVID cases nationwide. Others, such as Bonnaroo, Coachella and Stagecoach, will require proof of vaccination or negative test before ticketholders will be allowed to enter the venues. Live Nation, AEG Presents and Danny Wimmer Presents are also requiring proof of vaccination or negative COVID test before entering its venues, festivals or offices starting this fall.
