Ain’t Nothin’ To It was released in 2019

Cody Johnson’s debut major-label release from COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville Ain’t Nothin’ to It is now officially certified Gold by RIAA. At the time of its release in 2019, the album reached Top 10 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and made history as the third-highest pre-added album of all time in the country music genre on Apple Music.

The certification comes on the heels of the success of his COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville sophomore album Human The Double Album, which debuted as the top new country album release last week. All 18 tracks topped half a million streams each in week one alone – a feat usually reserved for superstar country artists – while the album itself has remained within the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Album chart since release.

Lead single, “‘Til You Can’t,” is also climbing the country charts now, earning more than 40k track equivalents this week alone. The track has seen four consecutive weeks of consumption growth and is already Top 20 on the US Country Shazam chart.

Earlier this year, Johnson’s feature-length documentary, Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story, was released. Alongside guest appearances by Reba McEntire, Navy Seal Chris Kyle’s widow Taya Kyle, and more, Johnson opens up about how his years on the rodeo circuit fortuitously prepared him for his life as a country star. From standing in the back of the chute at the rodeo or singing about it in front of 75,000 fans, fans will learn more about his real-life journey from the dusty rodeo arenas of rural Texas to some of the biggest musical stages in America. The film vividly captures all the emotional highs and lows that come from the dreams you cling to and the dreams you ultimately let go of.
